If you’ve ever felt one of our Plancha Seared Diver Scallops melt in your mouth, you have the Spaniards to thank.

“La plancha” is a flat top grill originated in Spain. The high temperate of this grill makes it a versatile venue for countless cooking techniques.

M5 Executive Chef Scott Wollen’s scallops are seared to perfection on the plancha grill and garnished with eggplant caviar, preserved lemon and pea shoots. The eggplant caviar is slow-roasted to give it a soft, delicate consistency. The scallops and eggplant are intimately paired with a tabbouleh salad of bulgur wheat, parsley, mint, lemon, tomato, cucumber and red onion.

With overtures to Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisine, our Plancha Seared Diver Scallops are a window to Mediterranean culture.

Casual Mediterranean dining with wood oven flat breads, fire-roasted fish, and hickory grilled steaks. Located in The Village at South Park.
